After the Wizard
After the Wizard (2011) is a family fantasy film directed by Hugh Gross. Set in the modern day, the film follows the story of 12-year-old Elizabeth (Jordan Van Vranken), a young girl living in Kansas who believes she is Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. After being placed in foster care, Elizabeth finds comfort in her belief that the characters from Oz are real. Back in the magical land of Oz, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman learn that Dorothy needs their help and set out on an adventure to find her in Kansas. As they search for Elizabeth, the film explores themes of imagination, hope, and friendship.
